Non-structural documents
Handwritten manuscripts and sketched drawings are received in draft form from authors as Preprint work. Using appropriate software, our specialist team at Calix, capture the texts by typing or other appropriate means, proof-read, assist in the design layout with the authors by drawing images in an electronic format to eventually complete the page-setting.
For a more professional and natural finish such as typesetting of mathematical formulae in textbooks, specific software having appropriate fonts is used such that it blends perfectly in the page setting.
Structured documents and Database
From any plain text provided or a database in excel or access format, XML technology is used to structure the resulting document which is made ready for printing, web, cd-roms, etc.
